Become a volunteer

ADHD Aware is a charity that supports neurodivergent individuals and their families in Brighton and throughout the UK.  We provide regular peer support groups and events – in person and online – that couldn’t exist without the commitment of our team of volunteers.

All our peer support groups are run by volunteers with lived experience of ADHD.  This may be through direct experience of being diagnosed (or seeking diagnosis) with ADHD or a partner or parent of an adult or child with ADHD.

Volunteers also help produce our newsletter and create content for our social media pages.  All our volunteers receive training and regular support through our operational team at ADHD Aware.

Being part of our volunteer team offers you the opportunity to work with other like-minded individuals who share our values.  It offers you the chance to gain valuable experience in hosting and facilitating peer support groups, developing listening skills, creating content, and producing our newsletter.  All the while enjoying the immense benefits of being part of our inclusive, diverse and interesting community.  If you have a skill, you think would be useful, please get in touch!

We ask you to consider your capacity to regularly commit, and to first come along to the relevant peer support session to see how we work.  Our volunteering opportunities are advertised on our monthly newsletter.  Please subscribe here to receive the newsletter.
